Itinerary description
Serious distance and altitude so bring plenty of food and drink. I take water sterilisation tablets and refill my bottles in streams.
Ï rode this mid-October so I saw very few people on the mountain. Try to do the ride in the week too to avoid the weekend hordes of picnickers and hunters.

Coll de Pendis
The sign in the village of Riu de Cerdanya puts the Coll de Pendis at 12km from the village. However, after a deceiving short descent the real climb starts after this bridge.

Looking across the valley I saw a pista hewn out of a sheer cliff face; something in me wants to be there next! The pursuit of the sublime!

Coll de Pandis
No cafeteria, no gift shop, no tourists or motos on this coll. Just a sheperds car and a signpost.

yeah, as you lower that old saddle; smile to yourself knowing that you have not blown good money on a dropper post! How long does it take to get off your bike lower the saddle and jump back on? First world problems!

Downtime!
Take care with loose gravel; especially on the hairpins. Also going from sun to shade can make obstacles and adverse cambers harder to see!

Nefol
A brutal climb upto Nefol to enjoy some singletrack back to Pi. They want you to come and live here!

Very nice MTB trail. I was on an e-mtb that made the climb very easy. Nice views up on the mountain. The descent is long and awesome. Not very technical though.
