Itinerary description
Day 1:
The hike up to Prutaš is easy and goes along a ridge with beautiful views. There are two ways down from Prutaš to the lake. The one we took is quite steep and tough on the knees with the heavy backpacks. The other would lead back to the saddle and then down to the lake.
Close to the lake there is a mountain hut with the possibility to sleep inside it. Camping was 3 euros per person. There is also a 3 euro entrance fee for the national park. The spring that was supposed to be there was dried out. So maybe take some drops for disinfecting the water from the lake. (Although it should be drinkable)
Day 2:
The path up to the saddle has small climbing sections in it. We left our heavy backpacks there and continued the route. The next section of the trail leads through a rubble field. The path further up the mountain is steep, rocky
with small climbing sections. We didn't go up to Bobotov Kuk because there were too many hikers. Instead we climbed one of the peaks next to it. There is no path there. It is quite exposed. Only go there if you have experience with finding your own path and climbing a little and wear appropriate footwear.
