Capel-Curig to Pen llithrig y wrach and llyn Cowlyd reservoir

A beautiful walk starting from Capel curig. Steep ascent to the summit of Pen llithrig y wrach. Afterwards we walk along the ridge clogwyn Du and we descend to the trail near the dam. I met three mountain bikers on this trail but I consider it inappropriate for mountain biking. Although the trail is even and flat it's full of stones. Return back the same way. Beautiful views of the deepest Lake in Wales from all directions. Recommended.
